Description

A timeless French classic with a crisp, buttery crust and a creamy, golden egg-and-cream filling made with smoked turkey bacon. Easy to prepare and perfect for family meals or quick lunches, this quiche is a comforting, on-the-go favorite.

Ingredients

Scale

1 sheet pre-made or homemade pie crust (for a 9-inch tart)
3 large eggs
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
5 1/3 ounces smoked turkey bacon (chopped)
A pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

Roll out the pie crust and fit into a 9-inch tart pan. Use a fork to prick the bottom. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy (5-7 minutes). Drain on paper towels
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, nutmeg, salt, and pepper
Spread the cooked turkey bacon evenly in the prepared crust. Pour the egg-cream mixture over the bacon
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is just set and golden
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving

Notes

Use an unbaked pie crust for simplicity. For a flakier crust, blind bake the crust first.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
