Ingredients
1 large baguette or rustic French bread, slightly stale
100 g softened unsalted butter
3–4 garlic cloves, minced or crushed
1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
Pinch of salt
Pinch of black pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F)
Cut bread into 1.5-2cm thick slices, leaving one side attached to form an accordion
In a bowl, mix softened butter with garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper
Generously spread the garlic mixture on each bread slice
Arrange the bread on a baking tray
Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly
Let cool slightly before serving
Notes
Use slightly stale bread for easier slicing
Adjust garlic amount to taste
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days if wrapped in parchment paper
