Homemade Garlic Bread à la Mamie Julia

Description

A golden, crusty classic garlic bread infused with fresh herbs. Perfect for sharing during meals or gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale

1 baguette or crusty bread (preferably slightly stale)
100g unsalted butter, softened
23 garlic cloves, minced
1 bouquet fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Optional: 1/4 tsp Herbes de Provence


Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Cut bread lengthwise but keep halves attached
Mix butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl
Spread mixture evenly on both halves
Bake 10-15 minutes until golden
Optionally top with Herbes de Provence in last 5 minutes

Notes

Use a slightly stale bread for best results
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving for crisper crust
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days
Served warm with softened butter mix is optional
