Description
A classic French grilled cheese sandwich made with rich mozzarella melt, crispy brioche edges, and optional premium jambon. Perfect for a comforting, shareable main course or snack.
Ingredients
4 thick slices brioche loaf
150g grated cheese (mozzarella or gouda)
20g butter
50ml whole milk
Pinch of salt
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
Optional: 2 slices halal turkey ham
Instructions
In a bowl mix grated cheese with milk, salt, and pepper until smooth
Heat a fry pan or skillet over medium heat
Butter one side of each bread slice and place in pan
If using turkey ham, layer it on the bottom slices
Spread the cheese mixture on the top slices
Cover each bottom slice with a top slice (cheese mixture side down)
Toaster-bake for 5 minutes, flip, and toaster-bake another 5 minutes
Broil 30 seconds per side for a golden finish
Notes
For optimal texture, let bread slices rest in the cheese mixture for 2-3 minutes before toasting
Use a light hand with butter to prevent burning
Substitute mozzarella with vegan cheese if needed
