Description

This homemade strawberry jam captures the sun-kissed flavor of fresh strawberries. A simple blend of ripe fruit, sugar, and lemon juice creates a versatile, aromatic preserve perfect for toasts, desserts, or yogurt. Naturally sweet and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale

1 kg fresh strawberries
700 g to 1 kg granulated sugar
Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon

Instructions

Wash strawberries, hull, and slice if large. Let drain.
Add strawberries and sugar to a deep jam pot. Mix well.
Let macerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Add lemon juice and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Skim excess foam before ladling into sterilized jars.

Notes

Adjust sugar depending on strawberry ripeness.
Use firm, fully ripe berries for the best flavor.
Store in a sterilized, airtight jar in a cool, dark place.
Stir continuously to avoid burning during cooking.
