Description
A simple, crowd-pleasing grilled camembert recipe infused with garlic and Provencal herbs. Perfect for warm days, this gooey cheese dish pairs beautifully with toasted bread and fresh vegetables.
Ingredients
1 large Camembert
2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon herbes de Provence (dried or fresh chopped)
1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
Black pepper, to taste
Thick slices crusty bread or fresh vegetables, for serving
Instructions
Remove Camembert from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking
Cut 12×12 inch parchment paper square and place Camembert at center
Mix olive oil, herbes de Provence, minced garlic, and pepper
Brush mixture over entire surface of Camembert
Seal parchment into a packet with air remaining inside
Place on preheated barbecue (medium heat) for 15-20 minutes, rotating occasionally
Serve warm with bread or vegetables
Notes
Use room-temperature Camembert for best softening
For extra flavor, insert a sprig of rosemary in the parchment packet
